Medical Device Depot commends medical manufacturer Welch Allyn for their humanitarian efforts in supporting local organizations. During Welch Allyn’s annual “Beacon of Quality” event, the company closes its offices for the day in order to assist non-profit organizations.
Welch Allyn (Skaneateles Falls, NY), a manufacturer of frontline medical products and solutions, sent over 400 employee volunteers to over 20 non-profit organizations across central New York on Friday, July 15, 2011, as part of its second annual “A Show of Hands” corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign. Another 250 employees were stationed at the company’s headquarters assembling military aid, school supply and homeless shelter care kits. The initiative is part of the company’s annual Beacon of Quality event, a designated date when local facilities are closed for the day to honor exceptional employees. Instead of music, food, games and team building activities, the company chose to forego festivities and concentrate on giving back to the surrounding communities.
