Physio-Control Inc (Redmond, WA), a subsidiary of Medtronic Inc (Minneapolis, MN), resumed unlimited shipping of its Lifepak defibrillators after halting shipments in 2007 to address quality control issues. A year later, Physio-Control received permission from the FDA (Rockville, MD) to ship a limited number of defibrillators to emergency care providers until improvements in its quality system were completed.

As many of you are probably aware, Cardiac Science has recently been subjected to several recalls. If you have are a customer of Medical Device Depot that currently own Cardiac Science units, pleasebe aware that that Physio-Control will offer a $250 trade-in on Cardiac Science Powerheart biphasic AEDs, Powerheart monophasic AEDs and CardioVive AEDs. Until FDA restrictions are lifted, this trade-in discount will only apply to LIFEPAK 1000 defibrillators. All customer orders will be subject to Cardiac Science’s standard exception process.
